In order to avoid the possibility of repetitive questions that could be easily answered, the following is a list of things that might come up often. Please read this before posting in the help section; if it seems generic, it probably is! If it is, but isn't listed here, chances are we'll figure that out upon it being posted and add it to this page.
1. I joined but I can't post in the articles! Why not? What do I do?
This means you have not applied to become a Registered Prophet. In order to deter trolls and spammers, this system requires you to put in effort to prove yourself, and allows us to know who all our writers are. If you put out food for deer and then just lead them to do what you need without counting how many you have, it's not going to be very organized, is it?
2. Why do I have to post my application publicly?
First of all, this is not to publicly shame you if you are not accepted. Not only is it a record of your beginning, but it also allows us, with multiple high-positioned staff, to all see the application. Although not encouraged, if you are extremely self conscious, send your application to the admin Allu.
3. I don't understand what we're supposed to be writing, can you explain?
It depends what category you are looking at. An entity is a partially religiously biased description of a god, spirit, or chain of supernatural subjects in which hold a physical and/or mental presence, whether directly visible or not. Satan would be entity, but so would a description of various shadows in great variety that appear in the corner of your eye. A myth is an extremely religiously biased piece of writing, often a scripture like the Bible, in which displays an entity (preexisting or not) in its natural habitat. (The book of the New Testament of the Bible in which describes Jesus' work is a good example of what we classify a myth.) A religion is a formal, partially biased description of any form of religion and/or its groups, gathering halls, etc. An article, however, varies. It can be a journal of a victim/sacrificial thrall/cult member, a story with a plot plotted with preexisting writing. (Example, a short story about Person A getting lost in the woods trying to locate Person B and encountering God X in the journey.) Basically, it is for simple (and not so simple) prose.
4. Why are there spotlights for Entities and Articles, but not Myths and Religions?
All in good reason, of course. Myths, although separated from the Article category, can be selected as articles. As for groups/religions, they have their own voting system occasionally to choose official groups. If we featured groups, well, it would seem like we should be obliged to make it a renowned group.
5. I want to go on hiatus/I'm going somewhere without internet, but I don't want the forum to downgrade me for being inactive, what do I do?
You can change your forum name at any point, which is extremely convenient. Just make a post in the 'Leaves' section, and afterwards, put (ON HIATUS) in your name, and you'll be good to go! This way, both new and old members will be able to see you have excused yourself from the community with intent to return.
